What is Clomid
Clomid, or Clomiphene Citrate, is a SERM and a popular PCT compound. It’s considered one of the safest options for post-cycle therapy since it doesn’t reduce your overall estrogen levels to extremes and works in specific tissues.
After an anabolic cycle, you should use Clomiphene to prevent estrogen action in the pituitary gland. This way, estrogens won’t be able to mess with your LH and FSH production. Additionally, Clomid will stimulate your natural testosterone production.
Clomid Benefits
If you’re not a newbie, you know that PCT is an essential part of the cycle.
On a steroid cycle, your testosterone levels will be elevated. Your body doesn’t understand that you want to create an anabolic environment for optimal muscle development, so it will try to return test levels to a normal range. It will slow down or stop natural testosterone production, while estrogen levels can increase.
When you stop taking PEDs, your testosterone production won’t return to normal as soon as you’d like. It will, eventually, but in the meantime, you can lose your muscle gains and experience low libido and fatigue. Elevated estrogen levels can cause gyno, or result in weight gain.
To avoid all these problems, you should plan post-cycle therapy. It will give your body a boost, restore your testosterone production, and mitigate estrogenic side effects.
Clomid Side Effects
Some of the Clomiphene side effects may include:
- Abdominal pain;
- Digestive disorders;
- Nausea;
- Increased heart rate;
- Headaches and dizziness;
- Vision disturbances;
- Mood swings and depression;
- Hot flushes;
- Liver dysfunction.
Contraindications
Clomiphene can’t be used by patients who have been diagnosed with liver, thyroid, or cardiovascular diseases.
Clomid Dosage
The optimal Clomid dosage ranges between 25–100 mg/day (or EOD), with a cycle length of 4–6 weeks. The typical PCT plan would look like this:

Of course, the dosage and cycle length may vary, but it’s a popular option suitable for testosterone ester cycles. A common practice is to use a higher dosage for the first two weeks of the PCT; it gives a much-needed boost to your HPTA system. Then, you can use a lower dosage for the last two weeks.
There’s a different option. You can use 25 mg/day for the whole cycle, but it should be at least 6 weeks.
How to Take Clomid
Clomid, or any other SERM, should be taken only after an off-cycle gap. It takes some time for the PEDs to clear out of your system, and you do not want to use PCT compounds when they’re still active.
You should wait at least 7–14 days after the last dose before starting Clomid. The length of an off-cycle gap will depend on the compound’s half-life. For example, if you have used Test E, you should wait at least 11 days.

Clomid and HCG
HCG and Clomid shouldn’t be used at the same time. Usually, HCG is used during an off-cycle gap, and its administration is stopped before the PCT begins. It can be a great addition to your PCT plan, especially if your off-cycle gap will last longer than a week.

Will Clomid Increase Testosterone?
Clomid can increase your natural testosterone levels through LH and FSH stimulation. Some users even take Clomiphene for TRT.
However, it’s better to use it as a PCT compound, not TRT or PED. If you’d like to enhance your testosterone levels, you should look at testosterone esters, such as Test E, Test Cyp, or Sustanon (a blend of esters).
Does Clomid Increase Sperm Count?
Clomid can increase your sperm count. This drug was originally developed specifically for this purpose. So, if your steroid cycle has done some damage to your reproductive system, Clomid might be just what you need.
Should Clomid Be Taken With or Without Food?
No food interactions have been noted. You can take Clomid with or without food, and it won’t have any effect on its absorption rate or bioavailability.
However, Clomid can cause digestive disorders, including nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. You can take it after a meal to try and mitigate those side effects.

Pct is more important than the cycle itself. My advice to everybody,don't learn it the hard way. Clomid in my opinion, is the most effective drug for PCT.I also used Nolva, and I like Clomid better, just personal preference. I buy all my PCT supplies from MG. Superior quality.
