What is Clomid

Clomid, or Clomiphene Citrate, is a SERM and a popular PCT compound. It’s considered one of the safest options for post-cycle therapy since it doesn’t reduce your overall estrogen levels to extremes and works in specific tissues.

After an anabolic cycle, you should use Clomiphene to prevent estrogen action in the pituitary gland. This way, estrogens won’t be able to mess with your LH and FSH production. Additionally, Clomid will stimulate your natural testosterone production.

Clomid Benefits

If you’re not a newbie, you know that PCT is an essential part of the cycle.

On a steroid cycle, your testosterone levels will be elevated. Your body doesn’t understand that you want to create an anabolic environment for optimal muscle development, so it will try to return test levels to a normal range. It will slow down or stop natural testosterone production, while estrogen levels can increase.

When you stop taking PEDs, your testosterone production won’t return to normal as soon as you’d like. It will, eventually, but in the meantime, you can lose your muscle gains and experience low libido and fatigue. Elevated estrogen levels can cause gyno, or result in weight gain.

Clomid Dosage

Of course, the dosage and cycle length may vary, but it’s a popular option suitable for testosterone ester cycles. A common practice is to use a higher dosage for the first two weeks of the PCT; it gives a much-needed boost to your HPTA system. Then, you can use a lower dosage for the last two weeks.

There’s a different option. You can use 25 mg/day for the whole cycle, but it should be at least 6 weeks.

How to Take Clomid

Clomid, or any other SERM, should be taken only after an off-cycle gap. It takes some time for the PEDs to clear out of your system, and you do not want to use PCT compounds when they’re still active.

You should wait at least 7–14 days after the last dose before starting Clomid. The length of an off-cycle gap will depend on the compound’s half-life. For example, if you have used Test E, you should wait at least 11 days.

Will Clomid Increase Testosterone?
