What is Testosterone Propionate
Testosterone Propionate is a short testosterone ester, meaning it is one of the fast-acting ones. It’s considered mild and can be used during bulking or cutting cycles. Even though Testosterone Propionate has to be injected more frequently than Enanthate (EOD), it hasn’t lost its popularity among bodybuilders.
It is important to note that all testosterone esters act almost identically. The only distinction between them is the time of the peak concentration in plasma and their half-life. Hence, different injection schedules.

- Struggling with severe cardiovascular or renal issues.
Women can’t go on a Testosterone Propionate cycle (or any testosterone cycle, for that matter) because of the virilization effects. However, if the female athlete ignores the recommendations and considers testosterone as an option, she’s probably going to choose Testosterone Propionate. With this ester, it’s easier to control testosterone levels in plasma.
Testosterone Propionate Dosage
The recommended dosage for Testosterone Propionate differs between 100 and 200 mg EOD. The cycle length is 8–12 weeks.
If an athlete goes on a first testosterone cycle, it’s recommended to start at a minimal dosage. There’s no need to go for the higher dosage, as the results will be impressive either way. Low dosages for beginners leave room for natural growth.
How to Take Testosterone Propionate
Testosterone Propionate should be injected intramuscularly every other day. The best injection sites for Testosterone Propionate are the glutes and thighs. The injection won’t be as painful; it’s easy to reach those sites and avoid damaging muscle tissue or hitting a nerve.
There may be some soreness or discomfort at the injection site. To avoid excessive irritation, injection sites should be rotated.
