What is Femara
Femara is a potent aromatase inhibitor, helpful in controlling estrogen levels. It’s way stronger than Arimidex and can crash your estrogen levels. Even though it’s rarely used as an AI on a steroid cycle, it’s quite effective in treating gynecomastia (if it’s still possible, gyno can be irreversible without surgery).
The Difference Between SERMs and AIs
SERMs do not lower your estrogen levels, but they do prevent its aromatization. They’re considered a safer option, but they are mostly used as a PCT compound (after the end of the cycle).
AIs, such as Arimidex or Femara, decrease estrogen serum levels and can cause serious side effects, including estrogen crash. These aromatase inhibitors can be used during the cycle. However, Femara isn’t usually the first choice, as its effects are more extreme.
Remember that estrogen is just as important and plays a crucial role in your body. Low estrogen levels can become a problem and even lead to lower testosterone levels.
Femara Benefits
Femara can increase your test and reduce estrogen levels. Therefore, its administration can be beneficial for mitigating estrogen-related side effects, such as excessive water retention or gyno.
Femara can be used to treat gyno at its early stages. Not every case can be treated, and it’s recommended to start with more sparing compounds, such as Nolvadex or Arimidex.

Femara Dosage
The dosage of 0.25–2.5 mg/day is considered safe. It’s recommended to start with the lower dosage to evaluate your body’s reaction to the drug: 0.25–0.5 mg/day. This dosage can be enough to resolve the issues you’re having.
Femara should be taken every two or three days. The drug isn’t suitable for daily administration.
