CLOMID
Clomid is a powerful antiestrogen SERM with mixed agonist and antagonistic properties. It blocks estrogen action by binding to receptors in certain tissues, while in other tissues, it acts like real estrogen by activating receptors. It works as an antiestrogen by repressing estrogen's negative feedback with the hypothalamus and stimulating increased production of gonadoliberin, increasing the production of luteinizing follicle-stimulating hormone and prolactin, thus increasing the production of testosterone by the testes.
It is one of the most commonly used SERMs by anabolic steroid users. They use the medication to combat estrogenic side effects caused by anabolic steroids or as a post cycle therapy to stimulate suppressed testosterone production due to the anabolic steroid usage. A substance like PCT is the most common target and the most beneficial point of application for anabolic steroid users. For a better quality task, Clomid can be combined with aromatase inhibitors such as Arimidex or Femara.
Effects caused by Clomid:
- effective in preventing gynecomastia - used as an antiestrogen when using steroids
- does not reduce estrogen levels and does not inhibit the aromatization process
- increases healthy cholesterol levels - although it is an antiestrogen, it acts as an estrogen in the liver
- often used in PCT to boost natural testosterone production and to shorten overall recovery time
Administration & Dosage
Taking Clomid depends on the reason you decide to use it. The dosage will vary depending on individual indicators, so monitor your health status.
For anabolic steroid users whose goal is to reduce estrogen levels, the standard dosage is 50mg per day throughout the cycle.
Those who use Clomid as PCT should take 100-150 mg per day; after two weeks, reduce it to 100 mg and after 2 more weeks to 50 mg. You need to take no more than six weeks. You can also achieve a better effect if you add Nolvadex or HCG to the cycle.
Also, when choosing a dosage of Clomid, it is recommended to pay attention to the severity of the previous steroids cycle:
- If the cycle was challenging, you should take 150 mg for the first three days, then 12 days for 100 mg, 15 days for 50, and 15 for 25 mg.
- After a problematic cycle, you have to take 100 mg of the drug for 15 days, 15 - 50, and another 15 - 25 mg.
- If the cycle was average, then you need to take 50 mg of Clomid within 30 days, and in the next 15 - 25 mg.
Side Effects
Clomid is one of the most well-tolerated SERMs by both men and women, so side effects are infrequent. If something suddenly goes wrong, you may experience:
- Headache
- Nausea
- Acne
- Hot Flash
- Visual disturbances
Visual impairment is meant by blurred vision, which is also extremely rare. In such a case, it is recommended to stop using the drug and consider similar alternatives. Acne can also appear only in those who have a predisposition to it (pimples on the back, shoulders, or chest are possible), although this effect is also not common.
From athletes and bodybuilders, complaints about adverse reactions of the body while taking the drug are usually not received.
